In sixteen years at UofT, including eight years as a learning strategist, I’ve learned that the most pressing responsibility of any campus leader is to champion their constituents’ concerns. The Administrative Staff constituency at UofT comprises an incredibly broad and diverse range of staff members: student and faculty facing support, facilities and maintenance staff, librarians, researchers… the range of expertise and experience among our staff is mind-boggling, but so too is the range of priorities, concerns, and perspectives.

As we kick off the GC campaign season, I want to connect with as many of my fellow staff members as possible. I want to understand your priorities and worries. I will make myself available for one-to-one coffee chats, zoom meetings or phone calls. I will also be holding several tri-campus town hall meetings, as well as separate town halls at UTM and UTSC.

If elected, I pledge not only to keep those lines of communication open, but also to keep you updated on issues that affect your work, workplaces, and communities—and to represent your experiences in every decision I’m called to make.
